Developing project ideas for a more Sustainable Middleport

Middleport Matters and Marches Energy Agency invite stakeholders to a series of meetings in Autumn 2016 to seek views and ideas for projects to create a Sustainable Middleport.

With your help, and support from Middleport Environment Centre, it is hoped that the information gathered will be used to submit a bid for funds from the Urban Innovative Action fund or similar funding to make some of the ideas a reality.

Heritage Canoe Trail Launch

The official launch of our Heritage Canoe Trial by the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent at around 12:30pm. The launch will be part of a day of activity relating to Heritage Open Days in which Andy Perkin will lead two guided Heritage Canoe Journeys between Westport Lake and Etruria Junction. Our partners Stoke-on-Trent will be providing canoes and kayaks for the jouneys.

Talk on Pubs with J Mark Dodds

An event organised by our friends at Potteries Pub Preservation Group (PPPG). J Mark Dodds is a well known pubs campaigner who has helped many publicans take on the pub companies, as well as giving evidence to a parliamentary select committee. He is a founder member of the People Pub Partnership and is involved with the Protect pub group.

All are welcome.

Hartshill Midsummer Fair

A free community event bringing together local residents, businesses, crafts people, community groups and public services around a broad green and environmental theme. The event runs from 10am to 3pm and is organised by our friends at Hartshill and Harpfields Occasions (HAHO).
