Heritage champion Loyd Grossman will be a special guest of the Stoke-on-Trent Literary Festival where he will pose the question "What's the use of heritage in a post-truth world?"

Amongst his many associations Loyd is a former commissioner of the Museums & Galleries Commission, English Heritage and the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England. Loyd is also president of NADFAS and a patron of the Association for Heritage Interpretation and Heritage Open Days.

Loyd is a committed and passionate advocate of the value of heritage and our historic built environment and his visit to Stoke-on-Trent, as the city prepares its bid to be City of Culture 2021 which will particularly focus on our unique heritage, promises to be a great highlight of the 'festival in a factory' at Emma Bridgewater.
