Our friends at the Under One Roof project welcome Potteries Heritage Society members and Heritage Network members to take part.
The workshop offers:
- an overview of the common communication barriers and misconceptions faced by dDeaf people
- how to be more inclusive and supportive of the 1 in 6 people living with a hearing loss
- explore communication tactics
- learn the basics of British Sign Language (BSL) including specific signs relating to heritage, community, culture, arts and Church.
