Revealing Voices: Welcome to the Time Machine

Tue, 21/02/2017 - 17:00
B-Arts, 72 Hartshill Road, Stoke

We are delighted to invite you to the launch of the Revealing Voices Studio in Stoke, Tuesday 21st February, 7pm. Professor Ray Johnson MBE, from Staffordshire Film Archive, will talk about the importance of the collection. We will be playing samples from the recordings and you will be welcome to look around the volunteer space.

Revealing Voices is a two-year project funded by HLF which will preserve and showcase original reel-to-reel tape recordings from the 1970s and 1980s. These tapes were preserved by Arthur Wood, radio producer, jazz musician and canals enthusiast. The HLF funding is being used to digitalise the collection, and volunteers are now creating the searchable catalogue for use by the public.

Partners B-Arts are providing the volunteer space at 72 Hartshill Rd, Stoke, ST4 7RB.

If you have any questions or would like to find out more about volunteering for the project please contact our Project Officer, Isla Telford, by emailing isla@revealing-voices.org.uk
