Our Heritage Your Future: Heritage Talk

Sat, 23/09/2017 - 15:00
Middleport Pottery
Potteries Heritage Society has been supporting photographer Janey Devine with audio clips to accompany her Our Heritage Your Future exhibition at Middleport Pottery (running from 8th September - 22nd October) from the Revealing Voices archive.

Revealing Voices aims to preserve and showcase the original reel-to-reel recordings made in the 1970s and 1980s by former radio producer, jazz musician and canals enthusiast, Arthur Wood. Potteries Heritage Society has received Heritage Lottery Funding to digitise the audio archives, create a searchable catalogue, share them with the community and celebrate 50 years of local radio.

Find out how the project is progressing and hear extracts from the archive.

To book your place, drop into reception at Middleport Pottery, contact info@middleportpottery.org or call 01782 499766. Booking is free but places are limited.
