The Lost Waterfront (with Claybody Theatre)

Sun, 06/10/2019 - 10:30
Meet at the Potbank Cafe, Spode Works, Elenora Street, Stoke

Building on the issues highlighted in “The D Road”, the new play by Deborah McAndrew, The Lost Waterfront heritage walk takes the discussion on to the streets of Stoke. Led by Andy Perkin of Potteries Heritage Society, we will explore the impact and legacy of the construction of the D Road in the late 1970s, looking at what was lost and how the A500 affects our daily lives. The walk will start from the Potbank cafe on Sunday 6 October at 10:30am and will last for up to 2 hours (a walk of around 2 miles).

The walk has been designed in collaboration with Claybody Theatre and is intended to further engage with the play's audience and the local community. The event is FREE (although donations to society and the theatre company are welcome) but places are limited. Further walks may be planned following the play's run should there be a high demand.

Booking essential: Email Andy Perkin using our contact page.

Tickets for The D Road play at The Meadows, Spode Works, (16th to 26th October) can be puchased here.
