Leopard Inn Community Engagement Event

Thu, 24/04/2025 - 11:00
Burslem School of Art, Queen Street, ST6 3EJ

This community engagement event has been arranged by Zoe Sutherland to explore possible future uses for the Leopard Inn, Burslem, to be held at the Burslem School of Art, Queen Street, Burslem on Thursday 24th April 2025 between 11am and 3pm. Re-form Heritage is commencing a viability study of the Grade II-listed Leopard Inn (jointly funded by Historic England and the Architectural Heritage Fund) to see if a sustainable future can be identified for the fire-damaged building, in keeping with its history and heritage. This will support the owners in making an informed decision about whether they wish to regenerate the building in partnership with an appropriate organisation or hand over ownership to such an organisation to take on regeneration, and for Re-form to consider whether or not the charity would be well placed to take on the project. Your views on the Leopard’s future are very much welcomed.

The event, open to the public to drop in at any point in the day, will start with a short introductory talk from Re-form Heritage. There will be displays outlining the history of the building that we hope will prompt discussion about what makes the building special and how it might be used alongside opportunities to provide your thoughts through questionnaires and activities. Tea, coffee and biscuits will also be available. The event is open to the public between 11am and 3pm, but it would be appreciated if you could email Zoe by Monday 21st April if possible to help estimate the number of attendees.
