Follow in the footsteps of the renowned architect Charles Barry, who remodelled and transformed Trentham Hall from a country mansion into a ducal palace, for one of the richest families in Britain in the 19th century. This guided walk will include standing on the footprint of the hall that was demolished over a century ago, before surveying the gardens and nearby estate buildings, in various state of repair, that illustrate Barry’s legacy today. The route is around 1 km and takes about 1.5 hours.
