Ford Green Hall was built in 1624 for Hugh Ford. It is a fine example of a timber-framed farm house. The Ford family lived at the Hall for nearly 200 years. Meet a 17th century carpenter and find out how Ford Green Hall was built!

Come and explore one of The Potteries' most important historic buildings with its internationally significant showcase of beautiful Minton tiles. Designed by renowned architect George Gilbert Scott and consecrated in 1842. Minton floor and wall tiles are used extensively throughout this magical building with some very rare and early patterns. A unique memorial inlaid floor tile marks Herbert Minton`s final resting place. Other important architectural highlights include two stained glass windows made by Hardman and designed by Pugin.

Follow in the footsteps of the Fords of Ford Green Hall from St Bartholomew’s Church in Norton-le-Moors to the family’s farmhouse - now a Grade II* listed museum. This guided walk includes visits to the two historic buildings associated with the Ford family which date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Starting at St Bartholomew’s Church, the circular route will take in several heritage sites including the former railway station and ironworks. The walk is around 2.25 miles and takes 2.5 hours with frequent stops and visits.

Explore the exciting legacy of the Minton family in Hartshill. In the mid-nineteenth century, pottery manufacturer, Herbert Minton, transformed the village, building Holy Trinity Church, worker’s houses and the school at his own expense. Join us for a gentle walk of around 2 miles, pausing to share thoughts and stories from our Minton enthusiasts and experts along the way. We will gather at Holy Trinity Church (Main Entrance) and explore many interesting historical buildings and sites including: Longfield House and Cottage, Stoke Cemetery and Minton graves, Royal Infirmary site, Minton Cottages, School and School House and the Vicarage & coach house.
