Meet at Longport Station, Station Street, Longport, ST6 4ND
A guided walk around Longport and along the Trent and Mersey Canal focussing on the sites and buildings associated with the surveyor, canal engineer and entrepreneur Hugh Henshall. We will explore his work and influence over the development of The Potteries during the Industrial Revolution, which is more often associated with his much more famous brother-in-law, James Brindley.
The walk covers around 2 miles with frequent stops.
